What Is the Sercel VE464 DPG?
The Digital Pilot Generator (DPG) is the master control unit of the Sercel VE464 vibrator electronics system. It connects to the data acquisition system through an Ethernet link and is fully integrated with Sercel 428XL and 508XT acquisition systems. In the VE464 system, the DPG works together with the Digital Servo Drive (DSD) units installed in each vibrator. The DSD controls the vibrator ground force in real time and sends a complete set of QC attributes.
