What Is the Sercel VE464 DSD?
The Digital Servo Drive (DSD) is the vibrator-mounted unit of the Sercel VE464 vibrator electronics system. Installed in each vibrator, the DSD performs real-time control of the vibrator ground force. It also computes and transmits a complete set of attributes for a QC database. Maintenance modes make it easy to check the performance of the vibrator hardware and the GPS system. The DSD works together with the VE464 DPG (Digital Pilot Generator), the master control unit of the system, and the VE464 system is used with Sercel 428XL and 508XT acquisition systems.
